What is podcasting?
The word ‘podcast’ comes from an amalgamation of the words ‘broadcast’ and ‘portable on demand’ and allows users to download audio from a website onto their own MP3 player.
Podcasts provide a flexible method of communication, allowing you to create a bespoke programme available to listeners across the world. In effect you become a broadcaster and your target audience can listen at their own convenience.
Podcasts can be listened to on line, downloaded to an MP3 player or subscribed to on Itunes.
They provide a valuable way for organisations to speak directly to customers, when and how they choose.
